On Wednesday, German automaker BMW celebrated the delivery of its millionth fully electric vehicle, marking a significant milestone for the business. Additionally, the company recorded a modest increase in first-quarter sales, partly driven by consumer demand for electric vehicles.
According to a company statement, BMW delivered 594,671 cars overall in the first quarter, up 1.1% from the same period last year.
During the first three months of the year, sales of electric vehicles increased by 27.9% year over year to 82,700.
BMW stated in March that it anticipated reaching its peak expenditure in 2024 on the switch to all-electric vehicles.
The group stated that it anticipates a minor increase in automobile deliveries in 2024 due to the delivery of completely electric and premium automobiles.
