JPMorgan Chase has named bank veterans Dwayne Lysaght and Alberto Piana as co-heads of Investment Banking for the EMEA region, anchoring the appointments in a broader global leadership shakeup. Operating out of London, the pair will report to the newly minted global co-heads of investment banking—Dorothee Blessing, Kevin Foley, and Jared Kaye—while working in tandem with the region’s Senior Country Officers. Both Lysaght and Piana boast extensive tenures at the firm, with Lysaght serving as EMEA M&A co-head since 2019 and Piana recently acting as global co-head of Diversified Industries investment banking.
Concurrently, Cassander Verwey has been elevated to solo head of EMEA M&A, reporting directly to the firm’s new global M&A head, Charlie Bouckaert. Verwey, who has been with JPMorgan for 27 years, previously shared the regional M&A leadership role.
The cascading leadership transitions also include top-tier global reshuffling. Former capital markets head Kevin Foley, investment banking coverage lead Dorothee Blessing, and financial institutions veteran Jared Kaye have all moved into global investment banking co-head roles. Meanwhile, Anu Aiyengar, the firm’s former global head of M&A, has transitioned into the prominent role of global chair of investment banking and M&A.
