Citi appoints Kriss Pachauri to head global asset manager coverage in ANZ

Citi has named Kriss Pachauri as director for global asset managers in Australia and New Zealand.

Before joining Citi, Pachauri served as a director at investment bank Houlihan Lokey, where he focused on M&A execution and deal origination across multiple sectors, according to a media release.

He has also previously held roles at BBRC Private Equity, Fort Street Advisors, and Goldman Sachs.

Pachauri will report to John Mclean, head of equity capital markets and global asset managers for Australia and New Zealand, and will be based in Sydney.

Citi said it maintains a strong pipeline within the financial sponsors segment across the Asia-Pacific region and believes Pachauri is well-positioned to leverage these opportunities.

Among its notable transactions in 2025, Citi acted as financial adviser to Pacific Equity Partners on its $1.4b acquisition of SG Fleet. The bank also advised KKR on its acquisition of ProTen and supported Carlyle in acquiring a majority stake in Waste Services Group.
