Tokyo – On Thursday, the Mid Japan Economist daily reported that Toyota Motor (7203.T) has decided to postpone the commencement of its electric vehicle (EV) production in the United States. The production start date will move from the originally planned 2025 to the spring of 2026.
The manufacturer will also cut its domestic vehicle manufacturing to fewer than 14,000 vehicles per day by September of this year. The newspaper reported this information without identifying sources.
