Saudi Arabia climbed to 13th place among the world’s largest recipients of foreign direct investment (FDI) in 2025, rising from 17th position in 2024, according to the latest World Investment Report from the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD).
Net FDI inflows into the Kingdom hit $32.6 billion in 2025, up nearly 53% from $21.3 billion in 2024. The country’s total inward FDI stock also expanded to $293.3 billion, demonstrating steady investor confidence and the appeal of its key strategic industries.
UNCTAD linked the strong growth to sustained investments in sectors central to Saudi Vision 2030, such as energy, infrastructure, technology, advanced manufacturing, and logistics. The report underscores the Kingdom’s progress over the last five years under its National Investment Strategy, which focuses on sharpening competitiveness, simplifying market access, and driving long-term economic expansion.
