European aircraft manufacturer Airbus SE delivered approximately 74 aircraft in October, according to a Bloomberg News report on Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
The report could not be independently verified. Airbus declined to comment ahead of the release of its official monthly orders and delivery figures, scheduled for Friday.
In its third-quarter earnings update in October, the world’s largest aircraft manufacturer maintained its annual delivery target of around 870 aircraft, which would represent a record for the company. It also kept its production targets unchanged, despite needing an unprecedented fourth-quarter delivery performance to achieve its annual goal.
Following the earnings announcement, Airbus Chief Executive Guillaume Faury expressed confidence in meeting the target, telling reporters that the company had a substantial inventory of aircraft.
Airbus continues to lead its US rival Boeing in aircraft deliveries. During the first nine months of 2026, Airbus handed over 547 aircraft, compared with Boeing’s 475.
Although Airbus typically records higher delivery volumes towards the end of the year, the manufacturer has previously revised its forecasts due to engine supply shortages and wider supply chain challenges.
