US edtech DataCamp acquires UAE’s Optima

US- and UK-based edtech firm DataCamp, which serves 18 million learners, has acquired Optima, a UAE-based AI-driven learning platform.

The deal supports DataCamp’s strategy to offer personalised, real-time learning experiences and to integrate Optima’s technology across its entire product ecosystem.

The purchase price was not disclosed. Optima’s founder and CEO, Yusuf Saber, will become DataCamp’s Chief AI Officer, with the rest of the Optima team also joining DataCamp.

A major player in the edtech sector, DataCamp expects to surpass $100 million in annual recurring revenue by the end of 2026.
