DBS rolls out generative AI–powered virtual assistant for corporate customers

DBS has introduced an upgraded generative AI–powered virtual assistant for corporate customers, called DBS Joy.

Accessible via the bank’s corporate digital banking platform, IDEAL, the assistant offers round-the-clock support for corporate banking inquiries.

When queries are more complex, the system routes users to a customer service specialist who is aided by a digital co-pilot.

DBS also intends to expand the service to additional key markets, including Hong Kong and India.

The virtual assistant was built in-house and combines large language models with the bank’s internal knowledge base.
