Philippine Remittances Increase in June
Cash remittances sent to the Philippines grew in June 2025, reaching a total of $2.99 billion. This marks a 3.7% increase compared to the $2.88 billion sent in June of the previous year.
The increase was primarily driven by land-based overseas Filipinos, who sent home $2.43 billion—a 3.7% jump from June 2024. Remittances from sea-based Filipinos also rose, but at a slightly slower rate of 3.5%, totaling $555 million.
For the first half of 2025, total cash remittances reached $16.75 billion, an increase of 3.1% year-over-year. The top three sources for these remittances were the United States, Singapore, and Saudi Arabia.
