Hong Kong maintained its status as the world’s third-ranked financial center and held the top spot in the Asia-Pacific region, according to the Global Financial Centres Index 38 (GFCI 38) published by Z/Yen and the China Development Institute.
Globally, only New York City and London ranked higher. Hong Kong showed exceptional strength in several categories, including business environment, infrastructure, reputation, and general competitiveness, where it ranked first. Its FinTech offerings saw a major leap, moving from fourth place globally to first place. Furthermore, Hong Kong was ranked within the top three globally for its banking, insurance, investment management, and general finance sectors.
