Russian forces launched massive drone attacks on eastern Ukraine late Tuesday. These attacks caused fires and injured at least 22 people, according to regional officials.

In the Donetsk region, the war’s main front line, Kramatorsk experienced an attack on a residential area. Local officials reported that the attack injured three people, including a child.

The Ukrainian air force stated that it shot down 32 of the 55 drones Russia launched overnight. They added that electronic countermeasures likely prevented another eight from reaching their targets.

It did not specify what happened to the remaining 15 drones.

The attack on Dnipro in southeastern Ukraine ignited a fire. It damaged houses and cars, and injured 15 people, reported Serhiy Lysak, governor of Dnipropetrovsk region, on Telegram.

Half of the injured went to the hospital, and one woman is in serious condition. Lysak stated the attack damaged four high-rise residential buildings, 15 private residences, an administrative building, and infrastructure.

Kharkiv, a northeastern city, has faced drone attacks almost every evening this past week. Mayor Ihor Terekhov said that there had been more than 20 strikes.

“This is our enemy’s new tactic to frighten the civilians. This (the attacked objects) is civilian infrastructure of the city, these are production enterprises, these are Kharkiv’s businessmen. Of course, they are scared,” Terekhov told journalists at one of the attacked sites.

Governor Oleh Syniehubov said four people were injured in Kharkiv. The frequent Russian assaults damaged multiple residential buildings, storage facilities, and other buildings.
