On Tuesday, two labor organizations announced that Scandinavian airline SAS has reached a pay agreement with Norwegian cabin staff. Consequently, this agreement ends the strike action that had been disrupting many flights since late last week.

Leader of the Norwegian Federation of Trade Unions, Joern Eggum, declared in a statement, “This is a big and important win for our members,” noting that workers had secured concessions on salary and other terms.

A smaller labor union that was part of the walkout declared that it had also come to an agreement and will stop the walkout.

A request for comment from SAS was not immediately answered.

After wage negotiations failed, over 120 SAS employees went on strike on Friday. Many passengers were stranded throughout the weekend, and about 50 flights were halted on Monday. Their demands were for better pay and working conditions.
