JAKARTA, INDONESIA — Water and wastewater, waste management and recycling, renewable energy and electricity, security, fire protection, search and rescue (SAR) and disaster management, occupational health and safety (K3), and smart city solutions. As these sectors become increasingly interconnected, they will once again come together in a major cross-sector exhibition programme from 24–26 August 2027 at the Nusantara International Convention Exhibition (NICE), PIK 2, Tangerang, Indonesia.
PT Napindo Media Ashatama (Napindo) officially launched its 2027 exhibition programme featuring Indo Water, Indo Waste & Recycling, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, Indo Firex, Rescue & Disaster, and Indonesia International Smart City 2027 Expo & Forum through a Grand Launching held on Wednesday, 7 October 2026, at NICE, PIK 2.
Beyond introducing the 2027 programme, the event also provided an opportunity for Napindo to introduce NICE as its new venue to exhibitors, ministries and government institutions, supporting associations, media partners, and strategic partners that have continued to contribute to the exhibitions’ development.
Bringing Strategic Sectors Together in One Platform
The development of various industries today increasingly highlights the strong interconnection between sectors. Water management is closely linked to environmental priorities, waste management to sustainability, and energy to infrastructure needs, while security, safety, disaster preparedness, and smart city development are becoming increasingly integral to the development of communities and urban areas.
Napindo’s 2027 exhibition programme brings these strategic sectors together in one platform while showcasing a wide range of technologies, innovations, and industry solutions. This cross-sector approach creates opportunities for industry players, government representatives, associations, professionals, academics, and other stakeholders to expand their networks, exchange knowledge, and explore business opportunities and cross-sector collaboration.
Building on the Achievements of 2026, Expanding the Scale
The 2027 programme builds on the positive achievements recorded in August 2026. The exhibitions brought together 700 exhibiting companies from 23 countries, with a fully occupied 20,000-square-metre exhibition area. Over the three-day event, the exhibitions welcomed 17,925 professional visitors. The strong participation reflects the continued development of Indo Water and its related exhibitions as a platform connecting technologies, innovations, and solutions across strategic sectors.
For Napindo, these achievements provide a strong foundation for further developing the exhibitions in terms of both scale and sector coverage. Managing Director of Napindo, said that the Grand Launching marks an important moment to build on the collaboration established over the years while creating new opportunities for the industry.
As part of the Grand Launching, a symbolic button-pressing ceremony was held to mark the commencement of the exhibition programme. The ceremony was led by Managing Director of Napindo, Arya Seta, together with representatives from government institutions, namely Director of Regional, Urban and National Border Areas, Ministry of Home Affairs, Dr. Drs. Amran, M.T.; representative of the National Disaster Management Agency (BNPB), Erry Prawisuda, Expert Disaster Analyst, and General Manager Sales & Marketing of NICE, Maya Gustiana, representing the NICE PIK 2 venue. The moment symbolised cross-stakeholder collaboration in supporting the continued development and growth of the exhibition platform towards 2027.
“We would like to express our appreciation to representatives of the embassies of friendly countries, ministries and government institutions, associations, exhibitors, strategic partners, academics, media colleagues, and all industry players who have continued to place their trust in and support the development of Indo Water.
We recognise that the success of Indo Water cannot be achieved by any one party alone. We therefore invite all parties to continue collaborating and to once again take part in Indo Water, Indo Waste & Recycling, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, Indo Firex, Rescue & Disaster, and Indonesia International Smart City 2027 Expo & Forum. Together, we aim to create a space that connects industry players, expands professional networks, and opens opportunities to share knowledge, technologies, solutions, and collaboration.”
Indo Firex Expands Its Scope to Safety and Disaster Management
One of the key developments for the 2027 edition is the rebranding of Indo Firex as Indo Firex, Rescue & Disaster. The change marks an expansion from fire protection to a broader scope covering SAR, preparedness, safety, and disaster management. With this expanded scope, the exhibition is positioned to create broader opportunities for participation across the safety and disaster management sectors.
The development also strengthens the connection between the sectors represented across the 2027 exhibition programme, bringing together technologies and solutions that address the needs of industry, government, and communities across infrastructure, environmental management, energy, safety, and urban development.
Targeting 700 Companies and 18,000 Professional Visitors
For the 2027 edition, Napindo is targeting 700 companies from 30 countries, including 12 country pavilions. The exhibition area is targeted to reach 20,800 square metres, while the three-day event is expected to welcome 18,000 professional visitors from Indonesia and overseas.
The move to NICE, PIK 2 forms part of this development. The new venue provides greater space to accommodate exhibitors and visitors while supporting a broader range of exhibition programmes and accompanying forums.
With its expanding sector coverage, evolving exhibition portfolio, and continued support from government and industry, Napindo is moving forward with its 2027 programme to provide an increasingly integrated space for industries to connect, exchange knowledge, discover technologies and solutions, and build new opportunities for collaboration.
Indo Water, Indo Waste & Recycling, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, Indo Firex, Rescue & Disaster, and Indonesia International Smart City 2027 Expo & Forum will take place on 24–26 August 2027 at NICE, PIK 2, Tangerang, Indonesia.
