Mastercard has named Yasemin Bedir as the new President for its Eastern Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EEMEA) region, effective September 1. In her new UAE-based position, Bedir will also join Mastercard’s Management Committee, taking over from Dimitrios Dosis following his appointment as Chief Commercial Payments Officer.

Bedir brings nearly two decades of Mastercard experience to the role, having joined the company in 2007. She most recently served as Division President for Eastern Europe for four years, steering the business through complex regulatory and geopolitical environments. Her previous experience includes managing Mastercard’s operations in Turkey and Azerbaijan, as well as overseeing community institution and processor relationships in North America. Prior to joining Mastercard, she held positions at HSBC, Garanti Bank, and Yapı Kredi in Turkey.

In her new capacity, Bedir will direct operations, regional strategy, and commercial partnerships across 81 high-growth markets, collaborating with financial institutions, fintechs, enterprise clients, and government entities.
