DBS Bank has teamed up with US investment firm Cohen & Steers to introduce the Cohen & Steers Diversified Real Assets Fund. This fund is designed to offer DBS clients a strategy focused on protecting against inflation while providing consistent returns.
The fund builds more resilient portfolios by investing globally across four key areas: listed infrastructure, natural resources, commodities, and real estate.
DBS Chief Investment Officer, Hou Wey Fook, highlighted the importance of real assets in portfolios given the current monetary and fiscal easing by governments. Sean Wong, Head of Product Management, Managed Solutions at DBS, added that this actively managed strategy offers valuable diversification beyond standard equity and bond investments.
From Cohen & Steers, Vince Childers noted that combining these four asset classes creates a more balanced way to handle both risk and inflation. Furthermore, David Conway stated that this partnership, along with their new Singapore office, significantly strengthens Cohen & Steers’ presence in Asia.
