Opening Ceremony Marks the Commencement of the Exhibition
The exhibition officially commenced with an Opening Ceremony officiated by Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional Development of the Republic of Indonesia, Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono. In his remarks, he emphasised that sustainable infrastructure development requires innovation, investment, and strong collaboration among the government, business sector, academia, and international partners.
“We are pleased to be here in person at this strategic forum, which addresses water security as an important part of building a more prosperous and sustainable Indonesia. Water security should not remain merely a vision, but must become a reality that we can achieve together. The government cannot work alone; collaboration between the central government, local governments, academia, and industry is essential,” said Agus.
The presence of Indo Water, Indo Waste & Recycling, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, Indo Firex, and Indonesia International Smart City 2026 Expo & Forum is also seen as providing a strategic platform for collaboration in addressing various development challenges, including water security, which has become one of Indonesia’s national priorities. “Through this forum, we can strengthen cooperation between the government, business community, industry, and technology sectors to find solutions to various challenges. The technologies available here can serve as a starting point for joint research and joint production, ultimately supporting the development of technological self-reliance in Indonesia.”
On the same occasion, Managing Director of Napindo stated that this year’s Indo Water marks a historic milestone that reflects Napindo’s continued commitment to advancing innovation, technology, and cross-sector collaboration in support of sustainable development in Indonesia.
“For 25 years, Indo Water has served as a pioneer international exhibition for the water and wastewater industry in Indonesia. However, this journey is not only about what we have achieved, but also about the collaboration, innovation, and opportunities that we can create together. Through the concurrent staging of Indo Water with Indo Waste & Recycling, Indo Renergy & Electric, Indo Security, Indo Firex, and Indonesia International Smart City, we aim to provide an integrated platform that brings together stakeholders to exchange knowledge, expand networks, and create business and investment opportunities across strategic sectors.”
