HSBC Names Kate Subak CEO of Bermuda Insurance Operations
HSBC has appointed Kate Subak as the new Chief Executive Officer of HSBC Insurance (Bermuda) and HSBC Life (Bermuda). In this role, Subak will oversee all of HSBC’s insurance activities in Bermuda. Her responsibilities will include driving the bank’s strategy for high net worth insurance and managing the full delivery of its captive reinsurance services.
Subak joins HSBC from Sun Life International in Bermuda, where she most recently served as Chief Operating Officer, responsible for IT, insurance, and wealth operations. She will report directly to Winnie Ching, HSBC Group’s global chief product and in-force officer for Insurance. Subak’s prior experience also includes senior positions at McKinsey & Company and Salomon Brothers.
