Citigroup launches Infrastructure Financing & Capital Solutions Group

Citi has launched a new Infrastructure Financing & Capital Solutions Group (IFCS).

The bank described IFCS as a “product-agnostic, infrastructure-focused” team within its Debt Capital Markets (DCM) division, dedicated to structuring, placement, and lending.

The group is set to deliver tailored financing solutions to Citi’s clients worldwide.

According to Citi, evolving macroeconomic trends and rapid technological advancements are driving higher capital needs, particularly as investments accelerate across energy, transport, digital and AI ecosystems, and other essential infrastructure sectors.

Eric Farina and Rob Cascarino have been appointed as co-heads of the unit.

Farina brings more than 20 years of experience in infrastructure finance, most recently serving as head of infrastructure finance within private capital markets at Morgan Stanley.

Cascarino, currently co-head of DCM for the UK, Europe, Middle East, and Africa, will expand his responsibilities to jointly lead IFCS on a global scale.

Both Farina and Cascarino will report to DCM heads John McCauley and Chris Munro, and are expected to collaborate closely with Citi’s broader capital markets teams.
