Meta Platforms is reportedly in discussions to invest more than $10 billion in artificial intelligence company Scale AI, according to Bloomberg News on Sunday. The deal is still under negotiation and subject to change, sources familiar with the matter said. While Meta has not commented and Scale AI declined to respond, the startup—founded in 2016—is already backed by major tech firms including Nvidia, Amazon, and Meta itself.
Valued at nearly $14 billion, Scale AI specializes in data labeling and operates a platform that allows AI researchers to share information, with users spanning over 9,000 locations worldwide.
