Meet the Drip Burgers team at the region’s biggest food event’s theatre or at one of two kiosks (Drip Burgers and Drip Baqala), where you can experience some exciting new menu items created with the brand’s local flair amidst the vibrant seaside ambiance.
At the heart of the disruptive brand’s presence at Etisalat Beach Canteen lies the unveiling of a brand-new concept, Drip Baqala. This unique venture brings forth a fresh perspective on convenience and community, redefining the traditional baqala experience. Baqala is an ancient Arabic term used for grocery stores which sold fruits, vegetables, and seeds – directly translating as “what comes from the ground.”
As an ode to Gaza and conscious choices, guests can expect an array of local, Palestinian and homegrown convenience products as well as fresh fruit juices and snack items. The concept focuses on bringing a community of homegrown brands together under one roof, offering customers a fun and exciting yet meaningful experience — while supporting both local brands and Gaza.
Drip Burgers also invites attendees to partake in one of its engaging workshops, where the art of burger making becomes a hands-on experience. This opportunity provides the chance to enhance customers culinary skills and learn how to create mouthwatering masterpieces firsthand.
Head to the NessNass (Jumeirah) Beach event on April 27, and you can enjoy a cooking demo, showcasing Drip Burgers’ award-winning burger, and sharing cooking tips and techniques with the audience.
On May 4, the team is hosting a Burger Making Workshop, sure to be a sell-out – offering a hands-on cooking class where participants can learn how to make gourmet burgers.
And on May 11, a fun Burger Eating Competition will witness participants race to see who can finish a giant burger the fastest.
Nadia Shah, Drip Burgers Owner, says, “We are thrilled to be taking our award-winning super tasty burgers to the Etisalat Beach Canteen this year, and at a time when all our minds are occupied with the situation in Gaza, we wanted to ensure we helped do something towards alleviating the suffering, through our new Drip Baqala concept.”
“We are introducing refreshing watermelon drinks and watermelon fruit trays, and more, crafted in solidarity with Gaza. Additionally, weve created customized t-shirts that well wear throughout the festival to showcase our support. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Red Cresent Gaza, our chosen partner for all activities, fostering positive change while savouring the taste of compassion.”
Last year, the disruptive burger brand, which combines top quality meat with Khaleeji flair, celebrated winning Virgin Radio’s Best Burger in the UAE accolade after DJ and TV personality Kris Fade was wowed by its premium Wagyu burgers.
The community-driven brand, launched by entrepreneur and hotelier Nadia Shah and local basketball star Mohamed Abdullateef, known as Lateef, who are on a mission to provide great food, great vibes and banging flavours, serves up tasty burgers with a local twist.
From its outset, the brand has always had a strong commitment to sustainability through sourcing local ingredients and implementing eco-friendly packaging solutions to reduce environmental footprint.
Drip Burgers leapt onto the Dubai burger scene in summer 2021. Starting out as a side project and cloud kitchen in Al Barsha South, the brand’s Emirati-inspired burger menu has quickly gained popularity and recognition as one of Dubais best burgers in a very crowded market.
About Drip Burger
Disruptive fast food joint Drip Burger leapt onto the Dubai burger scene in summer 2021. Starting out as a side project and cloud kitchen in Al Barsha South, the brand’s Emirati-inspired burger menu has quickly gained popularity and recognition as one of Dubais best burgers in a very crowded market.
Drip Burger won the BEST BURGER IN THE UAE accolade on Virgin Radios highly popular Kris Fade Show, and also nominated as BEST CASUAL EATS by female-forward social networking site That Dubai Girl. Drip Burger was also a Zomato BEST BURGER nominee in the restaurant aggregator and food delivery company’s annual awards.
Drip Burger currently has two branches. One is in Arjan Al Barsha South, offering both indoor and outdoor seating. Originally a cloud kitchen, this site is now a busy branch.
Our second branch, opened in early 2024, is based within Lounge Caf Italiano, at Arenco Tower, opposite the American University in Dubai Media City.
Rapid expansion plans will see Drip Burger expand its network to kitchens in JLT, Silicon Oasis and Jumeirah. Plans in the pipeline are to open more branches and expand further into events and catering. The company plans to expand delivery zones, and focus more on events across the UAE with a new cart concept and product, the first burger cart in the UAE.
There are also plans to open in Global Village with the support of Dubai SME.
Drip Burger uses recyclable packaging and disposables, conscious of its environmental footprint. It has also teamed up with Emirates Nature WWF as a Green Giving Partner which means a percentage of profits goes towards sustainability projects and making the world a better place.
Satisfied customers have helped the emerging brand achieve a 4.9/5 rating on Google reviews for the last two years. Customers really love the brand, finding it cool and relatable. The Drip Burger team has created a vibe and look that speaks to customers, is fun, creative and connected to music and sports.
Drip Burger’s menu comprises unique burgers, tenders and shakes in a local menu created in a collab with Emirati wunderkind chef, Khaled Al Saadi, who added Khaleeji flair to the burger joint’s wagyu beef patties. Think za’atar on the tenders, pistachio cream and nuts on the shakes and desserts, and Chips Oman or Flaming Hot Cheetos piled on the juicy chicken burgers for extra crunch and spice.
In another nod to local culture, every order comes with a free karak chai.
Drip Burger gives you the taste of Dubai in a bun. This means lip-smacking flavour combinations influenced by Dubais mix of cultures, premium wagyu beef patties that ooze juiciness, crispy brined chicken and a homemade menu and sauces that drip with culture.
