At the recent EU-Oman Energy & Water Collaboration Forum in Muscat (May 20-21, 2025), senior stakeholders from both Europe and Oman highlighted the Sultanate’s growing attractiveness as a green investment hub, particularly in energy and water. The forum showcased Oman’s strategic readiness for climate-aligned infrastructure partnerships, driven by its stable governance, abundant solar and wind resources, and proactive green policies. Speakers noted the strong alignment between Oman Vision 2040 and EU climate targets, drawing increasing interest from European firms in public-private partnerships. The forum also detailed Oman’s advancements in green hydrogen development through de-risking initiatives, and Nama Electricity Distribution’s efforts to embed ESG principles and improve energy efficiency. The consensus was clear: Oman is fast becoming a regional leader in green infrastructure, attracting significant European investment.
