Domino’s Pizza Group announced on Monday its plan to hire 5,000 employees across the UK and Ireland. The company is preparing for the anticipated surge in demand during the upcoming peak holiday season.
Under the U.S.-based Domino’s Pizza’s corporate umbrella, the franchise operates throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. It also announced that it is seeking to hire additional pizza makers, in-store team members, and delivery drivers.
The holidays are a critical trade time for businesses like Domino’s Pizza due to increased demand for festive meals and convenience. This forces them to boost staffing to maintain efficient service.
With more than 1,300 locations and more than 35,000 employees in the UK and Ireland, Domino’s is a company based in Milton Keynes.
The firm decided to pass on expected lower food costs to franchisees and offer more value promotions to customers. This led to a reduction in its annual profit prediction last month. On the other hand, demand for the product increased during the European soccer championship.
