Citi Launches Evergreen Private Market Funds for High Net Worth Clients in Asia and Middle East

Citi has unveiled a new suite of evergreen private market funds for high net worth clients in Asia and the Middle East as part of strategic partnerships with major alternative asset managers, the bank said.

Citi Singapore and Citi Hong Kong are teaming up with global private market firms Blackstone, Blue Owl and KKR to give Citigold Private Clients access to a broader range of investment opportunities beyond traditional public markets.

The evergreen funds, which have already begun rolling out, are designed to provide certified high net worth investors with more flexible ways to invest in private market asset classes such as private equity, private credit, infrastructure and real estate. These markets were previously accessible mainly to institutional investors.

Under the evergreen structure, the funds aim to offer simplified subscription and liquidity terms compared with traditional closed end private market offerings, although investors will still be subject to a minimum initial holding period. This structure is intended to make it easier for wealth clients to diversify portfolios and pursue long term growth.

Citigroup executives said the partnerships draw on the investment expertise and global deal sourcing capabilities of Blackstone, Blue Owl and KKR to deepen the bank’s private markets offering for affluent clients. Bank leaders noted that in a complex and volatile market environment, investors are increasingly seeking resilient returns and diversification opportunities beyond listed stocks and bonds.

Citi will continue to expand the fund offerings in coming months, giving eligible clients additional options to participate in alternative asset markets while enhancing wealth management solutions across the region.
