KYIV, Nov 13 – Witnesses reported blasts in Kyiv on Wednesday after Ukraine’s air force issued a nationwide air raid alert due to Russian missile strikes. This marked the first missile attack in over two months.
Russia launched cruise missiles from strategic aircraft and ballistic missiles, according to the Ukrainian military.
The Kyiv city administration announced on Telegram, “Explosions in the city. Air defense forces are working. Stay in shelters!”
Authorities have not reported any casualties or damages from the recent attacks.
On August 26, Russia launched more than 200 drones and missiles against Ukraine. This assault resulted in the deaths of seven people and targeted energy facilities across the country. Kyiv described this as the “most massive attack” of the war.
