Visa broadens its Scan to Pay QR payment network across the Asia-Pacific region

Visa has introduced its Scan to Pay QR payment feature, broadening digital payment acceptance for millions of merchants across the Asia-Pacific region. The new service supports Visa transactions through major banking apps and digital wallets such as Samsung Wallet, LINE Pay, VNPT Money, Woori Card, Hyundai Card, Lakala, FOMO Pay, VNPAY, NextPay, and OpenRice.

The launch is part of Visa Pay, a unified network that links participating digital wallets to Visa-enabled merchants worldwide, both in-store and online. This setup lets consumers pay by tapping, scanning, or using their preferred wallet, while merchants can reach more regional customers using their existing QR systems.

Visa will showcase Scan to Pay at the Singapore FinTech Festival from 12–14 November 2025, highlighting its push to streamline wallet-based payments and strengthen cross-border digital payment connectivity.
