Central Bank Flags Fraudulent Use of UNA Financing Corporation Name

The Philippine central bank (Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas or BSP) has issued a public warning about a fraudulent entity. This entity is illegally using the name of UNA Financing Corporation, and is also misusing the BSP’s official logo and the names of its personnel without permission.

Protecting the Public

The legitimate UNA Financing Corporation has separately released its own advisories to confirm that it has no connection with this deceptive activity.

To combat these scams and protect the public, the BSP and the authentic UNA Financing Corporation have agreed to work together more closely to detect and prevent further fraudulent schemes.
