Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the 2025 annual meeting of the International Forum of Sovereign Wealth Funds (IFSWF) will be held in Abu Dhabi from October 29–31, 2025.
Event Hosts and Location
The forum will be jointly hosted by the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA) and Mubadala Investment Company and will take place at ADGM in Al Maryah Island. This marks the first time Abu Dhabi has hosted the event, which helps solidify its reputation as a major global center for investment discussion and collaboration.
Key Participants and Focus
The IFSWF is composed of 37 sovereign wealth funds (SWFs) from 35 countries.
The three-day meeting will convene CEOs and senior executives from the world’s largest SWFs, whose combined assets exceed US$10 trillion, representing approximately 80% of global sovereign wealth.
The theme for the 2025 meeting is “Building Resilience in an Era of Transformation,” focusing on promoting good governance, accountability, and responsible investment practices.
High-level speakers will discuss strategies for driving innovation, sustainability, and inclusive economic growth.
Goals and Significance
The event will serve as a platform for delegates to exchange ideas, explore joint cooperation, and discuss how SWFs can effectively respond to global market fluctuations, identify opportunities in new technologies, and support long-term sustainable growth.
Both ADIA and Mubadala emphasized the pivotal role of SWFs as responsible stewards of capital, generating financial returns while building a better future. The co-hosts and the IFSWF Chair highlighted the commitment to knowledge sharing, strengthening collaboration, and reinforcing the stabilizing role SWFs play in global financial markets.
