Private consumption and exports led the rebound of Portugal’s economy in the second quarter.

In the second quarter of the year, Portugal’s economy grew by 0.6%, a rebound from a 0.4% contraction in the first quarter. This growth was driven primarily by an increase in private consumption and exports.

The National Institute of Statistics (INE) confirmed that the economy also grew by 1.9% compared to the same period last year. This marks an acceleration from the 1.7% year-on-year growth seen in the first quarter.
